DESCRIPTION
CRACKSEAL is a single pack, ready
to use, cementitious, waterproof repair mortar.
Its expanding characteristic ensures perfect
bond between both the sides of crack and provide
excellent water tightness. The use of CRACKSEAL
is very simple as only precise quantity of water
is added in powder of CRACKSEAL and mixed to
obtain repair mortar. The procedure of usage is
given below.

PREPARATION
-› Chip
out the crack which is 2 mm or more than 2mm
wide in “V” groove and remove all dust and dirt
particles from cracks with wire brush and wash
it with water. For cleaning stains of oil and
grease FM-DEGREASER should be used which is
solvent based degreaser. After drying of cracks
which are washed with water, a coat of FAIRCRETE
SB(L) should be applied on both sides of cracks
to give proper bonding between repair mortar and
old Concrete. On drying of FAIRCRETE SB(L),
CRACKSEAL should be filled in cracks.
MIXING AND
APPLICATION
-› For
making CRACKSEAL repair mortar, w-p ratio should
be 0.14 i.e. for
5kg pack of
CRACKSEAL , 700ml of water is required.
-› Take
80% of total water required in separate
container and add
CRACKSEAL powder
slowly in container and simultaneously mix them
for
minimum 2 min.
-› Add
balance 20% of water in container and mix them
thoroughly until
homogenous mix is
obtained. If the drill is not available, hand
mixing is
also permitted.
-› CRACKSEAL
remain workable for 20 min. So mixing in small
quantity is
recommended.
-› Fill
the cracks with CRACKSEAL by hand or trowel upto
top level of crack
and flush it with
old concrete.
-› For
curing, it should be started after 2hrs and
continue upto 3 days
alternatively by
water ponding.
-› For
vertical surface, it should be covered with wet
gunny bags.
FAIRCURE C, a
curing agent can also be applied instead of
water curing.
