DESCRIPTION
WATERGUARD is a pre packed single component
powder based on processed cements and special
fillers that can be brush applied to well
prepared sound substrates to provide extremely
tough durable waterproof render 2-3 mm thick for
water tanks, basements etc. Where water under
hydrostatic pressure exists, WATERGUARD must be
used in conjunction with WATERGUARD T. It has
excellent waterproofing characterstic.

SURFACE PREPARATION
-› If
cracks are there on the surface open the cracks,
which is 2mm or
more than 2mm wide
in 'V' groove with help of chisel till the crack
ends.
-› Clean
the surface and remove all loose particles
inside the cracks and
wash it with
water.
-› After
setting of CRACKSEAL, pond the area with water
for atleast 30 min.
-› Apply
a coat of FAIRCRETE SB(L) inside the cracks
FAIRCRETE SB(L) is
polymer modifier
and bonding agent for cementitious mixes.
-› Fill
entire crack with CRACKSEAL , which is
cementitious, waterproofing
repair mortar.
-› After
filling the cracks with CRACKSEAL, allow it to
set for 30min.
-› Remove
excess water with broom and the surface is ready
to apply
WATERGUARD.
MIXING AND APPLICATION
-› WATERGUARD
comes in single part and only precise quantity
of water is
to be added in powder. For
25kg. pack of WATERGUARD 8-9lit of water
is added.
-› For
mixing of WATERGUARD, electric drill with paddle
attachment is
required.
-› Take
80% of total water in container and add
WATERGUARD slowly and
mix them with drill for two
minutes. Add balance 20% of water and again
mix them until homogeneous mix of
burshable consistency is obtained.
Total mixing time should not be
less than 3min.
-› Mixed
WATERGUARD will remain of brushing consistency
for 20min. So
mixing in small quantity is
recommended.
-› After
mixing of WATERGUARD, it should be applied with
brush on
prepared surface of uniform 2-3
coats. On drying stage of WATERGUARD,
fine cracks if any, due to
absorption or heat or speedy drying of layer
shall be over coated with WATEGUARD
before it finally sets.
-› Generally
WATERGUARD doesn't require any water curing. But
if
temperature is higher than 350C,
then it is preferred to pond the
horizontal surface and cover all
inclined and vertical surfaces with wet
gunny bag for 24 hours.
