PRODUCT

FAIRCOAT INSULTECH I is a new technology. It is a rubber like Coating that Seals and expands and Contracts with the surface it covers. So it protects from wind and rain & resists cracking & peeling from severe heat and cold.

DESCRIPTION

FAIRCOAT INSULTECH is a ready to use elastomeric aqueous based coating containing special polymers and fillers. FAIRCOAT INSULTECH provides extremely long lasting protective coating that creates a reflective thermal barrier, with stands severe temperature and temperature changes and provides lasting protection against wind and rain. FAIRCOAT INSULTECH has been specially designed for me decoration and protection of concrete. Against attack from atmospheric, carbondioxide, airborne, chlorides, acid, rain, weathering etc.,
FAIRCOAT INSULTECH is non-inflammble and non-toxic and hence can be used in interiors also. It is a high performance, long lasting, flex thermal coating adheres to a wide variety of substrates and almost concrete surface. Consequently, practically any industrial, commercial, agricultural, governmental or residential requirement for better temperature control and lasting durability can be addressed through the application of FAIRCOAT.
FAIRCOAT INSULTECH has excellent adhesion to the substrate and cures to form a flexible film that allows the surface to breathe and acts as carbondioxide barrier thus protecting the concrete in aggressive weather conditions. It has excellent gap bridging ability and does not age with time, and forms an extremely durable film. This product provides out standing adhesion & weather resistance as well as excellent temperature protection from exposure to radiant heat.

PROPERTIES

Surface finish : Matt; Fire resistance : Non inflammable; Application temperature : 3⁰C-40⁰C ; Drying time Pouch dry : 1/2 hrs to 4 hrs . (depends upon temperature and humidity) thorough dry 2 hrs. 12 hrs. Single or two coats can be applied. Two coats are recommended on dark, absorbent heavily textured surfaces. When full carbonation protection is required. Porous rough and irregular surfaces will reduce coverage rates. Carbondioxide diffusion resistance. CO₂=690,000 (Based on Engelried Technique). 2 Coats application. Equivalent to air thickness R=200m at a film thickness of 209 microns. Effective barrier to carbon dioxide is R50m.

HOW TO USE

SURFACE PREPARATION : Substrates must be clean sound and free from dust and loose particles. All holes and cracks must be filled with suitable filler. All traces of oil, grease or other contaminations must be removed. The now concrete surface must be at least 14 days old before coating if in doubt, allow full curing to take place for 28 days before application of FAIRCOAT INSULTECH . PRIMING : On old or porous surfaces, ensure that the substrate is sound and dilute 2 part of FAIRCOAT INSULTECH to 1 part of water and prime the surface. APPLICATION : Stirr the material in the container thoroughly and spread evenly with a brush, roller or airless spry. Avoid application during rainy weather. In hot, dry weather, dampen unpainted surfaces with water to prevent FAIRCOAT INSULTECH drying out too rapidly. COVERAGE : To achieve effective anti-carbonation coating a two-coat application (200 microns DFT) is recommended. Coverage of FAIRCOAT INSULTECH is approx. 4-5m²/kg/Two coats. The surface texture and porosity must be taken into account while estimating quantities. Tools should be cleaned with water immediately after use.

SHELF LIFE

Shelf life of FAIRCOAT INSULTECH is 12 months should be stored under shed in original sealed container.
