USES
FAIRFIX MORTAR is a tile adhesive
for the permanent fixing of ceramic tiles.
DESCRIPTION
FAIRFIX MORTAR is a prepacked
cementitious low cost tile adhesive which
ensures excellent bond on concrete and plastered
surfaces.
PACKING &
COVERAGE
25 kg of woven bag.
25 kg of FAIRFIX MORTAR will cover 6-7m2
with recommended thickness of 4 to 5 mm.
DESCRIPTION
FAIRFIX TA STD is a adhesive for
the permanent fixing of ceramic tiles both in
damp and submerged conditions.
FAIRFIX TA STD can also be used for fixing tile
on tile.
SURFACE
PREPARATION
All surfaces must be sound and
thoroughly cleaned before FAIRFIX TA STD is
applied. All traces of greases or oil must be
removed with FM Degreaser. All loose particles
of mortar and points must be physically removed.
INSTRUCTION FOR
APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION : All surface

FAIRFIX MORTAR is applied. All traces of greases
or oil must be removed with FM DEGREASER. All
loose particles of mortar and points must be
removed.
MIXING : FAIRFIX MORTAR should be mixed with
water in the ratio of 3:1 (FAIRFIX MORTAR :
WATER) by volume. Water can be reduced or
increased slightly to get required consistency.
A slow speed drill attached with a suitable
mixing paddle is recommended. Hand mixing may be
allowed if drill/paddle is not available.
FIXING OF TILES : FAIRFIX MORTAR should spread
on the substrate to a uniform thickness of
4-5mm. Choose work area so that they can be
tiled in adhesive. Open wet time 25 mins. @ 30OC.
Coverage is approx 1m2
for 3 to 4 kg. Of FAIRFIX MORTAR depending on
thickness.
FINISHING : Remove excess adhesive with a damp
cloth before material has set. Joint grouting
may be commenced 24 hours after tiles have been
laid.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION : For filling tile joint
FAIRFIX TG is used.

SHELF LIFE &
STORAGE
FAIRFIX MORTAR will have a
storage life of 9 months in unopened bags when
kept in dry conditions at a temperature between
5OC
to 45OC.
Storage at higher temperature or high humidity
may reduce shelf life.
