RECOMMENDED USES
An extremely high strength floor
topping to resist abrasion, impact and chemical
contact. At the same time, produces a safe
non-slip finish for personnel and vehicular
traffic. It is applied on concrete floors, as a
4 - 6 mm thick topping over a primer, and can be
sealed in areas where high degree of cleanliness
is required with SAFECORE SEALER or SAFECORE EP
(F) Epoxy resin sealer or floor coating. This
product is specifically designed for heavy
engineering plants, electroplating shops,
chemical processing areas, dairies, breweries
factories. Application: Applicable at freezing
temperature and high temperature.

SURFACE
PREPARATION
The substrate should be clean,
dry and free from oil, grease and other
contaminants such as foaming lubricants and
curing components which would affect adhesion of
coating.
New concrete must be a minimum of 28 days old
before FAIRSCREED application. The moisture
content of the concrete should be less than 5%.
Preparation of concrete is achieved by either
shot blasting, grinding, scarfing or
acid-etching.
PRIMING Mix SAFECORE WB PRIMER in the
proportions supplied, and apply by brush or
roller spreading to thin film on prepared floor.
Examine after 30 minutes and apply more material
to any areas that have absorbed the primer.
Commence the application of FAIRSCREED after 2
hours (at 300C) of applying the primer or primer
becomes tack free.
MIXING Thoroughly mix the Base and Hardener
packs together, then blend in the aggregate.
EXPANSION JOINT
Expansion joints in the existing
substrate must be maintained and continued
through the FAIRSCREED EP topping filled to the
new level with an FAIRSEAL joint sealant.
TOPPING
The mixed resin-aggregate should
be raked out to a uniform thickness, tamped with
a wood float to ensure complete consolidation
and finally finished with steel trowel. Do not
rub steel trowel more, which may lead to burn
marks.
SEALING
In wet operation areas and where high
degree for cleanliness is required the
FAIRSCREED EP topping may be sealed with
SAFECORE SEALER or Floor coating SAFECORE EP
(F). (See separate technical data sheet)
CLEANING
Tools and equipments should be cleaned with
SAFECORE TOOL CLEANER.
