PRODUCT
A high strength, epoxy resin mortar with
excellent abrasion and impact strength
properties. A blend of epoxy resin with
specially graded fillers.
PACKING
7.5 Kg pack consist of Base, Hardner and
aggregates.
COVERAGE
A 7.5 Kg pack will cover an area of approx. 0.75
sq. mtr at a thickness of 10mm.
WHERE TO USE
Repairs to spalled columns, soffits, gutters,
lintels etc., Repairs of damaged concrete
floors, spalled concrete roads and runways.
Making good of damaged concrete kerbs, pipes and
precast units. As a bedding mortar for tiles on
uneven floors or under corrosive conditions.
PROPERTIES
COLOUR : Light Grey / Natural;
WORKING LIFE : 1 hours at 300C,
COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH N/mm2
: 7 days-67N/mm2
at 300C.
BOND CAPACITY : In dry conditions, FAIRSCREED R
bonds extremely well to a cementitious surface
previously primed with SAFECORE PRIMER. Average
bond values in laboratory test approx. 5 N/mm2.
TEMPERATURE RANGE : During application : 100C
to + 400C;
In Service : -200C
to +600C.
HOW TO USE
Preparation : Surfaces should be
sound, clean and free from loose particle,
laitance and all contamination viz. oil, grease
etc.
MIXING
FAIRSCREED R comprises of three components the
resin base, hardener and aggregate which are
supplied preweighed in the correct proportions.
Pour the hardener into the resin can containing
base mix throughly in a metal bucket by using a
mechanical stirrer until a uniform colour is
obtained. This liquid and the aggregate are
throughly blended until a uniform colour is
obtained.
PRIMING
The prepared concrete surface
should be primed by the application of SAFECORE
PRIMER epoxy resin which should be brushed well
so that, it throughly wets the surface.
Application : Before the primer is hardener,
i.e. within 1 hour of application, the
FAIRSCREED R mortar should be applied by tamping
and troweling, in successive layers not
exceeding 15 mm in thickness in order to allow
full compaction. Finally the mortar should be
shaped to the desired profile and troweled to a
smooth finish.
SHELF LIFE
At least one year in
manufacturer's undamaged, sealed containers in
dry conditions and out of direct sunlight.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Cleanliness when handling the
resins is essential to prevent skin irritation.
