USES

FAIRSCREED VF is a versatile, epoxy paste adhesive being particularly suitable for all general purpose bonding operations. FAIRSCREED VF may also be used for thin section concrete repairs.

Suitable for use in laboratories, pharmaceutical plants, hospitals, food preparation areas electronics assembly factories, etc.

DESCRIPTION

FAIRSCREED VF is a thixotropic, solvent free epoxy adhesive ideal for bonding a wide range of building materials to one another i.e. Concrete, brick, metal stone and wood. FAIRSCREED VF has a high level of mechanical integrity and exhibits excellent bonding characteristics even in damp conditions. FAIRSCREED VF is easy to mix and apply. No primer is required.

TYPICAL PROPERTIES

COLOUR : Grey ; POT LIFE : 45 minutes at 30^OC ; COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH : 40N/mm² (1 day at 30^OC), 70 N/mm² (7 days at 30^OC) ; TENSILE STRENGTH : 18 N/mm² ; APPLICATION TEMPERATURE : 30^OC, Drying / Curing times : Touch dry after 4-6 hours at 30^OC, Hard dry after 10-12 hours at 30^OC, Full chemical resistance 7 days.

INSTRUCTION FOR APPLICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION : (A) Concrete substrates shall be sound, clean and free from dust, dirt, grease, oils, laitance and other contaminations a roughened or profiles surface will ensure optimum adhesion. (B) Mild steel and other metallic substrates shall be degreased, power wire brushed or grit blasted and free from dust. If the prepared metal surface will not be treated immediately then an anti-corrosive holding primer such as SAFECORE RR must be applied to prevent flash rusting. (Refer to the SAFECORE RR product data sheet for additional information). Other substrates shall be sound, clean and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil and any oxidised surface layer.
MIXING : The base and curing agent components shall be thoroughly mixed together using a stiff spatula or a slow speed drill with paddle attachment, until a uniform grey mixture has been produced.
APPLICATION : The application of FAIRSCREED VF is best achieved using spatula, trowel, serrated trowel or stiff-bristled brush depending on the area to be treated.

PACKING & COVERAGE

FAIRSCREED VF is supplied in 1 kg., 2 kg. & 5 kg. Packs. 1 kg. Of FAIRSCREED VF will be sufficient for 0.67m² with 1 mm thickness.

SHELF LIFE

6 months, when stored in original, unopened containers, out of direct sunlight.

LIMITATIONS
FAIRSCREED VF should not be applied at temperature below 3^OC.
