PRODUCT
SAFECORE CE, two pack solvent
free, flexible, high build, waterproofing
coating is based on coaltar-modified epoxy resin
system designed to provide combination of water
and chemical resistance together with
anti-erosion characteristics and long term
durability.
PACKING &
COVERAGE
One 5 kg pack of SAFECORE CE is
sufficient to cover 9 to 10 m2
for two coat application achieving DFT of 400 to
500 microns. 5 kg pack consist of preweighed
BASE and HARDENER.
PURPOSE
SAFECORE CE is a high build Tar
extended epoxy coating, provides a tough,
chemically resistant coating for walls, floors,
terrace and water storage tanks.
PROPERTIES
COLOUR : Black, POT LIFE : (@ 30OC)
45 minutes, CURING TIME : 1 days for light foot
traffic, and 7 days for full chemical resistance
@ 30OC.
TEMPERATURE RANGE : During application 5OC
to 40OC.
In Service. 30OC
to 80OC.

diesel, alkalis, petrol, detergents and sea

SURFACE
PREPARATION
CONCRETE SUBSTRATES : The surface
should be sound free from laitance and loose
particles. All blow holes, surface cracks etc.
should be made good with a FAIRSCREED R epoxy
based filler material, Vacuum grit blasting or
mechanical scrabbling techniques are recommended
to ensure optimum adhesion.
STEEL SURFACES : Oil or contaminated surface
should be thoroughly cleaned with a degreaser
and surface grit or sand blasted. Where this not
possible, with minimal surface preparation of
wire brushing followed by acid etching and water
jetting should be carried out.
MIXING
SAFECORE CE is supplied in ready
to use packs having resin and hardener for easy
on site mixing. Pour the Hardner can into the
base can and mix well using a paddle attached to
an electric drill for 2-3 minutes until a
uniform colour is obtained.
APPLICATION
SAFECORE CE must be applied by
brush or airless spray to give a continuous
coating on the prepared surface, a second
coating can be applied after 24 hours.
CLEANING
All tools and equipment must be
cleaned with solvent.
SHELF LIFE
6 months in Original sealed
containers stores under shade below 40OC.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Gloves must be worn while
handling epoxy resin based product, to prevent
skin irritation.
