TYPICAL USES
SAFECORE EP (F) is a two pack,
high build, solvented epoxy coating for concrete
substrates. To provide protection from chemical
and resistance against abrasion.
DESCRIPTION
To protect concrete floors,
enhanced resistance to oil, grease, water
penetration, dust, abrasion and chemical attack.
PACKING &
COVERAGE
5 Kg pack will cover an area of
approximately 12-14 m2
for recommended two coats, depending on porosity
of concrete/plastered surface.
PROPERTIES
Colours : Blue, Grey, Red, Green
(Special colours on order) Pot life at 30OC
: 1.5 hours, Touch dry : 7 hours; Full Cure : 7
days : Temperature range : During application, 5OC
to 45OC
In Service : Max. 60OC.
INSTRUCTION FOR
APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION : (a)
CONCRETE SUBSTRATES : The Surface should be
sound, free from laitance and contamination. The
contamination, viz, oil grease, etc. must be
removed using degreaser or detergent. All blow
holes, surface cracks etc. Should be repaired
with FAIRSCREED R or FAIRSCREED VF.
PRIMING
One coat of SAFECORE EP PRIMER is
recommended for porous concrete surfaces before
the application of SAFECORE EP (F). Apply
SAFECORE EP PRIMER at a nominal rate of 4m2/kg
and allow to dry for a minimum of 4 hours at 30OC.

MIXING
SAFECORE EP (F) is supplied as
ready to use in pre-weighed packs of resin and
hardner for easy on site mixing. Pour the
hardner into the resin can, mix well using a
paddle attached to an electric drill, for 2-3
minutes until a uniform colour is obtained.
APPLICATION
SAFECORE EP (F) may be applied by
brush or airless spray to give a continuous
coating on the prepared surface. A second coat
may be subsequently applied when first coat is
dried. Preferably next day.
CLEANING
Tools and mixers should be
cleaned with SAFECORE TOOL CLEANER immediately
after use.
SHELF LIFE
Shelf life is 6 months, when
stored in manufacturer's undamaged sealed
containers under dry conditions, protected from
direct sunlight.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Hand Gloves must be used. Goggles
for overhead application to prevent contact with
eye. Any splashes on skin should be washed with
water and medical advice sought. in enclosed
areas, good ventilation must be ensured, and
smoking must be strictly prohibited while using
SAFECORE EP (F).
