PRODUCT

SAFECORE R is a two pack anti-corrosive protective coating for steel and reinforcement.

USAGE

Can be used in steel reinforcement in concrete.

DESCRIPTION

SAFECORE R is thin section coating designed to provide weather resistance to steel and reinforcement. It ensures excellent corrosion resistance to the reinforcement bars.

WHERE TO USE

On reinforcement, steel and embedded steel in concrete.

PROPERTIES

WORKING LIFE : at 20^OC 40 minutes, TOUCH DRY TIME : (at 20^OC) 4 hours.

APPLICATION FOR APPLYING SAFECORE R

SURFACE PREPARATION : The steel reinforcement should be cleaned by wirebrush or acid cleaning. All dust particles should be removed to achieve good bonding of coating. MIXING : SAFECORE R is supplied in two pack material with a powder component and the respective pre-weighed amount of liquid. The liquid should be poured into the suitable mixing vessel and the powder component added gradually to be under mechanical mixing. The continuous mixing should be done until a homogenous colour is achieved.
APPLICATION : The mixed SAFECORE R should be applied by brush in one coat on substrate. CLEANING : Brush should be rinsed with water immediately after use.

COVERAGE & SHELF LIFE

One pack (2kg + 1 litre) will cover approximately 100 kg of 12 diameter steel bar. Shelf Life of SAFECORE R is 24 months.

SAFETY PRECAUTION

SAFECORE R is non-hazardous. However inhalation of dust of powder should be avoided. In the wet condition, the material is alkaline and any splashes to the skin should be washed off with water to prevent possible skin irritation.
