USAGE
1 litre of SETRELEASE is diluted with 5 litres of water to give 6 litres of solution and will cover 150 to 160 m
2 depending upon the type of form work. (Coverage will be more for steelwork then the wooden form work)

PACKING
1, 5, 10, 50 and 100 carbouys.

COVERAGE
150 to 160 m2 per ltr. (After dilution with 5 ltr. of water).

DESCRIPTION
SETRELEASE is supplied as a pale amber liquid which turns white when diluted with water to produce a chemical release agent, combining the outstanding release properties of such materials with the economy of a conventional oil. It reacts with the alkali in the concrete to form a thin water repellent layer on the surface of the mould which enables easy stripping from the hardened concrete. It has been specially formulated to reduce or eliminate surface imperfection in precast, prestressed and poured in place concrete. Improve the concrete surface by reducing or eliminating surface voids and effects. Reduce need for and cost of frequently cleaning forms by reducing the concrete residue. Non-staining: can be used with white cement.

DILUTION RATE
SETRELEASE must be diluted with 5 equal parts of water before use. FORMWORK SURFACES : May be used on wooden or metal surfaces. Particularly effective on resineous coated surfaces including coated wooden surfaces. NON-STAINING : Can be used safely with white cement.

INSTRUCTION FOR APPLYING SETRELEASE
MIXING : First dilute SETRELEASE concentrate in the proportion of 1 litre to 5 litres of water, using a clean container and stirring thoroughly until evenly mixed. If the solution is not used on the same day, it should be stirred again before use and may require very good stirring after five days. NEW MOULD IS TO BE : No preparation is normally necessary unless metal moulds show signs of rust, then they must be wire brushed or treated with emery cloths and finished clean before coating. USED MOULDS : Must be thoroughly cleaned and to be made free from old concrete, dirt cement lattiance, old mould oil and other contaminations. Use a strong detergent for removal of oil and grease; use SETKILENS for cement and concrete deposits.

APPLICATION OF SETRELEASE
Apply SETRELEASE 1:5 water dilution to the face of the formwork by spray, brush or cloth. Only one coat should be applied as thinly as possible except on very absorbent new timber where two coats may be necessary for the first application only and allow to dry. If the formwork is not used for several days, then only a further coat of SETRELEASE may be applied. DRYING TIME : It is essential that the SETRELEASE coating is thoroughly dried before placing the concrete otherwise, being an emulsion, its performance may be impaired. In conditions of high humidity drying times will be much longer than in warm dry conditions. RAINFALL : It is necessary to protect freshly coated formwork from rain which may dilute the emulsion before it was dried. After drying the coating, it will withstand an occasional light shower but may be affected by heavy or continuous rain. In such cases, a further coat is advised once surface is dried out thoroughly. DE-MOULDING : De-moulding can be carried out in the normal way and no special precautions are necessary. AFTER DE-MOULDING : Formwork surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned, but this is normally easy due to the excellent release action. BEFORE RE-USE : The cleaned formwork surfaces must be recoated with SETRELEASE each time, in accordance with normal practice.

SHELF LIFE
SETRELEASE concentrate has a shelf life of 36 months provided the temperature is kept in the range of 2
OC to 50OC. If this temperature is exceeded in any respect, advise should be sought from the supplier. Diluted SETRELEASE will remain stable for at least 5 days but must be restirred before use.

HEALTH & SAFETY
SETRELEASE is a non-toxic and non-flammable liquid.
