READY TO USE SURFACE RETARDER CIVIL CHEMICAL MOULD RELEASE AGENT

USES
To provide retardation of setting of top 5mm concrete surface to enable roughning and cnsure monolithic bond with topping layer (usually plaster). Quick, clean and easy stripping of moulds and formwork. Ensures high quality, fair-faced and stain-free concrete surface.

DESCRIPTION
SETRELEASE SR is a specially formulated blend of mineral oils and chemicals having retardation and very good mould release properties. SETRELEASE SR has specific importance for providing mechanical keys for covering plaster layers without harming the structure over the conventional chiseling process carried for providing mechanical keys for the covering layer of plaster after demoulding. The Retarder will produce a retardation of top 5mm surface layer which will not allow the surface layer to set and the processed mineral oils, will allow the demoulding easy. SETRELEASE SR is supplied as a pale straw coloured, ready to use liquid.

RE-USE OF MOULDS
Due to the excellent release properties, little or no deposit of cement paste remains on the shutter. Minimum cleaning time & a further coat of SETRELEASE SR renders shuttering ready for re-use.

PROPERTIES
SPECIFIC GRAVITY : 1.05 + 0.052 at 30^OC, FORMWORK SURFACES : Equally effective on wood or metal moulds and shutters, but for good retardation results steel shuttering should be preferred.. NON-STAINING : Does not stain concrete and can be used safely with white cement to ensure good finish.

CONCRETE SURFACE QUALITY
In addition to preventing adhesion of the cement paste to the mould or shutter face, SETRELEASE SR allows surface to remain fairly green to ensure easy scratchable surface to produce good mechanical keys. It also releases the surface entrapped air to escape from the face when the concrete is being poured and vibrated pockets of air trapped on the shutter faces of concrete are a major cause of imperfections, necessitating remedial work. SETRELEASE SR avoids time and cost for this.

ECONOMICAL TO USE
On account coverage and scratching for producing mechanical key for plaster layer, the applied cost of SETRELEASE SR compares favorably with that of conventional mould oil and efforts required for chiseling. Considering the technical benefits additionally, the overall economy of using SETRELEASE SR can be significant.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE
PREPARATION OF NEW MOULDS : No preparation is necessary but if extensive re-use of Timber moulds is envisaged, it is advisable to protect all new surfaces with SETRELEASE SR. For used moulds, all traces cement must be removed together with any surface deposits of previous oils. COATING : SETRELEASE SR can be applied with brush, sponge or conventional mould oil-sprayer. If an oil-sprayer is used, care should be taken to choose correct size of the thinnest coating necessary to achieve effective coverage should be applied. Excess application is un economical and may lead to surface dusting and excessive retardation. Wipe or brush off any excess aprticles on the suface and apply on coat of SETRELEASE SR as before. To remove SETRELEASE SR completely, for recoating mould or shutter surface, use strong industrial detergent together with stiff brushing & then thoroughly rinse with clean water.

SHELF LIFE
12 months. Stir well before every use.

COVERAGE
A coverage between 10 to 15 m²/itr is possible depending upon the porosity & texture of mould surface. 1, 5, 10, 50, 100 Ltr drum.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Use Gloves when handling SETRELEASE SR. Remove splashes on the skin with soap & water. Avoid contact with eyes and accidental contamination should be washed thoroughly with plenty of water and medical treatment sought immediately. Ensure good ventilation and do not smoke during use.
