PRODUCT
WATERGUARD T is cementitious fibre reinforced waterproofing mortar for watertank,
basement etc. Where hydrostatic pressure exists.
DESCRIPTION
WATERGUARD T is a prepacked cementitious water
proofing render which is to be troweled on as a
5mm thick render normally used in conjunction
with WATERGUARD A as a primer.
USAGE
For
waterproofing and protection of all structures;
like Basements, Water tanks, Foundations,
Retaining walls, Swimming Pools, Bridge Decks,
Lift shafts, Tunnels, Dock Gates, Dams,
Reservoirs.
Where very high hydrostatic pressure exists,
WATERGUARD T must be applied in 2 coats of 5mm
thickness.
SURFACE PREPARATION
(1) All leaks and
water jets must be stopped using WATERPLUG
Compound. (Refer relevant Data Sheet). (2) All
surfaces must be sound, clean and free from oil
and contamination. All loose particles must be
removed by wire brushing. (3) All surfaces must
be wetted thoroughly with water to allow surface
absorption and excess water to be removed before
application of WATERGUARD T.
MIXING
WATERGUARD T must be mixed in a mechanical mixer
using an electric drill paddle attachment. Place
the required amount of water in the container (5
to 5.5 Litres of water / 25 kg bag) and during
mixing add the powder slowly and mix till
homogeneous trowellable consistency is obtained.
(Mixing of FAIRFIBRE 125 gm / 25 Kg bag of
WATERGUARD T is recommended to ensure perfect
bond and water proofing).
APPLICATION
WATERGUARD A as a
primer coat and when WATERGUARD A is wet apply
5mm thick WATERGUARD T mortar. Normally
WATERGUARD T is used for same thickness
treatment. (See WATERGUARD WM (F) application
guide.)
CURING
The WATERGUARD T applied surface must be kept
under water at least for 7 days and only after
that the surface should be brought to use.
CLEANING
All tools must be washed in the water
immediately after use.
PACKING & COVERAGE
25 Kg HDPE bags. 25 Kg bag yields approximately
13 Litres which covers 2.6 sq. m. for 5 mm
thickness.
SHELF LIFE
6 months. WATERGUARD T should be stored under
dry condition in original sealed packs under
shade.
HEATLH & SAFETY
WATERGUARD T is non toxic and dry splashes must
be washed with water.
